Dayton To Unveil Rail Safety Proposal
Gov. Mark Dayton will announce a plan to improve railroad safety. The yearlong debate on oil safety, traffic problems and rail crossing updates will likely come to a head on Friday.
In the past, Democrats wanted $100 million to improve rail lines, while Republicans rejected higher taxes.
The Governor will release a new proposal at 10 a.m.
Summer Favorites Making An Early Return
The early warm-up means some favorites are back.
Food trucks are now open for business in Minneapolis. They made their debut Thursday, several weeks earlier than last year.
Also because of the warmup, Nice Ride is preparing to roll out. The bicycle rental program in the Twin Cities plans to start for the season April 1.
Mountain Dew Goes Crafty
The soft drink Mountain Dew is getting in on the “craft” trend. The caffeinated pop will roll out a new version called DEWshine.
A clear citrus Dew made with real sugar that comes in longneck bottles.
Critics say it looks like beer and accuse Pepsi-Co of trying to appeal to young people.
‘Frozen 2’ Is Officially A (Let It) Go
“Let It Go”? Not likely.
The much-awaited sequel to the gazillion-dollar-grossing Disney blockbuster “Frozen” is now officially in development with the original directors and producer.
“Frozen Fever,” a short film featuring the cast of “Frozen,” will be unveiled with the live-action “Cinderella” in theaters this weekend.
“Frozen 2” will be the first full-length reunion, which should create a flurry of excitement.
